Hermès participates in the 2018 Geneva International Haute Horlogerie Salon

Hermès participates in the 2018 Geneva International Haute Horlogerie Salon. The Maison Hermès will be unveiled at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) from January 15th to 19th, 2018, to showcase the new watch. RDAI Interior Architects designed a warm, sophisticated and modern pavilion environment for Hermès. The furniture inside enhances the tranquil atmosphere from three aspects of sound, color and light, creating a unique environmental experience. Walking through the Progress Hall, the first thing to greet the visitors is a large atrium decorated with maple screens. Each watch is displayed in a glass box. The more intimate space seems to be the second layer of skin protection, allowing visitors to have a personal discussion of the various watches on display. There is also a closed theatre designed for press conferences and exhibitions, where rows of steps are covered with Hermès textiles. At the heart of the pavilion is the work of the Dutch artist Levi Van-Villewe (), which evokes the emotional resonance of the visitors. In the low-tech square display window that evokes the famous Hermes scarf, he created nine interactive animation models. Visitors can activate small devices that present a spectacular boulder in the center of the atrium through the pistons and gears. The machine built by Hermes brings you an eternal experience; an emotional journey, the theme of which is ‘time, a Hermès object’ (time, Hermes). This is because at Hermes, time is also an ‘object.’ In addition to measuring the technical performance of time, setting and controlling time, Hermes is brave enough to explore another time. Hermès Art Director Pierre Alexis Dumars explained: “We want to wake up the interesting relationship with time through the real function of the objects. We have created these watches with exquisite craftsmanship. Refraction is a good time.’
